Landscape Architecture - Planning

JDA has teamed with architectural and civil engineering firms to provide landscape architectural services for Elementary Schools, Middle Schools, High Schools, Alternative Schools, Colleges and Universities.

Typically, JDA is brought in prior to final site plan approval to review the overall site plan for the campus and provide input on issues which could impact facility long-term.

We evaluate the site based on circulation patterns, ease of maintenance and estimated maximum water requirements. We then provide feedback to the prime consultants so they can incorporate our comments into the final site plan. Once the final site plan is complete, JDA staff prepare full landscape architecutral documents including planting and irrigation plans, specifications, irrigation schedules and opinion of probable cost. We support the prime consultant through bidding and provide construction observation and/or construction inspection services to ensure the landscape portion of project is built according to plan.
